Some residents of Elkhart County are concerned about a lack of recording at public meetings, following a new law in the State of Indiana.Per Indiana Code 5-14-1.5-2.9, which went into law July 1, municipalities are required to video livestream public meetings.
On July 1, however, following the implementation of the new law, the county canceled Elkhart County Council Finance Meetings, scheduled for the remainder of the year — July 9, Aug. 13, Sept. 10, Oct. 8, Nov. 12 and Dec. 10.
