Government secrecy saw further expansion last year despite growing public concern, according to a report released by OpenTheGovernment.org. The third annual report card found a troubling lack of transparency in military procurement, new private inventions, and scientific and technical advice that the government receives, and more.

The Indiana Coalition for Open Government is a coalition partner with OTG and also endorses the group’s “Statement of Values.” OTG is a coalition of consumer and good government groups, librarians, environmentalists, labor, journalists and state access coalitions united to push back on secrecy trends and promote openness.
